Hōjicha Flavor Profile: Balanced and sweet with hints of rich, toasty cocoa, caramel and malt. .
Hōjicha is a very common tea in Japan and is made from roasted green tea leaves. Roasting Hōjicha is considered similar to how coffee roasters roast coffee beans. Each roaster may have a different methodology to carefully bring out nuances of flavor in the tea. This Hōjicha is stone-milled from Shizuoka, Japan.

The Chasen is an essential part of matcha practice and is made from a single piece of bamboo. Our Chasen features 100-prongs which is perfect for usucha (thinner style matcha).

How to care for your Chasen: Place the whisk under a gentle stream of hot water until clean. Completely dry both the chasen before storing it.
PRO TIP: Keep your whisk on a Chasen Yasume to help maintain its shape for longer use.
